Brownies to Kemah!

Our Brownie troop went to Kemah to spend some of their hard earned cookie cash.
Man, did we have fun!
And now, some random shots of my girl having a blast!

It was a great day!

Yep, it's official. Summer is here. 94 degrees today.
The pool was a brisk 84.
The kids could not wait to get in the pool.
(Okay, I'm loving this photo- definitely one to be framed!)

Post Video comment: I feel it only fair to note, after calling my son a wuss for not jumping into the water, I failed to get in past my knees. Apparently, 84 degrees is a bit chilly.

Sick day!

So what do you do when your little girl is too sick to go to school.
You take her for her first pedicure, of course.
Chloe could not go back to school due to strep, but was feeling just fine. I thought of a few ways we could sit and take it easy, but still be out of the house. It turned into a really nice day. We had a pedicure (her first ever!), went to see the Hannah Montana movie (How cute is her little cowboy love interest!?!) Hit the used book store, then Subway for lunch.

Runts, Red Vines and Chocolate milk?

It's really as good as, if not better than, chicken soup, right??

2009 Summer snake count: 3

Luckily, they've all been pretty small and harmless . . . so far.
Craig found this one in our garage.

Grandma and Grandpa come to Texas!

We had some special visitors this past week. And, aside from the bronchitis (Logan), ear infection (me) and strep throat (Chloe), it's been a fun week.
(Good thing Mom and Dad bought masks at the airport!)

It's always fun with Grandma and Grandma here.
I hope you go home germ free!
We love you guys!

And yesterday, our Brownie troop made their donation to the Montgomery County Women's Center. Along with birthday party supplies (a project that coinsided with the Girl Scout's 95th birthday), they decided to use some of their cookie funds to buy 30 playground balls and 30 jump ropes to donate to the center. I was really proud of the girls for doing this.
And Logan took the first official dip (skinny, that is) of the summer.
The heat is here to stay and it is time to swim!
Woo hoo!
