Birthday celebrations #2 and #3

We decided to take the kids to the AMA Super cross show, another birthday present for Logan.

We had front row seats and were front and center for several spectacular crashes.
It was loud and dusty.  All in all, a pretty good time  . . ..well, not for those who crashed I guess.
But WE had fun.
The next day we had celebration #3 for Logan's birthday.   Another bowling get together with a few of his friends.

And, in continuation of last years bowling party, Logan, once again, requested a Ben 10 Alien Force cake.
I literally did this one in a half hour.  My poor kids get so shafted when it comes to cakes.   But he requested to have his action figures on top, so I kind of got off easy with this one.

And so ends Logan's birthday WEEK celebrations.
Thank gosh!

(My children are in for a rude awakening next year with their birthdays!  That's all I'm gonna say.)

Craig finally got us out on the court for some family bonding with skates.

A new roller hockey rink is opening soon and Craig wants to make sure the kids are ready to play youth hockey.

Of course the kids decided it was time for a different kind of fun.

At the playground.

Logan's class celebrated their 100th day of school by dressing as 100 year olds.

A few days later we started hearing warnings about this big ol' snow storm that was headed our way.
Houston basically shut down.  Craig's office, along with countless others, closed.  Schools closed.  Freeways closed.   Apparently we were in for a real doozie.

yeah . . .not so much.
Turns out we just got a lot of ice.  Which Chloe and Logan had fun running around collecting while off from school on a so called "snow day".

But they sure had fun.

And last but not least, we celebrated Logan's birthday with a trip to Benihana's with Dave, Brandy and Dylan.
 This photo cracks me up.
Logan's looks like that crazy uncle that always shows up uninvited at Christmas and Dylan looks so bored, even though he was full of energy the whole dinner.

Wasn't it just yesterday?

Wasn't it just yesterday we met you?

Wasn't it just a breath ago that you smiled at her for the first time?
Wasn't it just last night that I sang you to sleep?
How can it be that you're so big
when to me, you'll always so little?

 5 full years have passed

and yet I remember it like yesterday
The day our family was complete.
 Happy Birthday Logan.
We love you!

Fashion Week at the Steindorf's

Whether it's skiing the slopes in Aspen or taking in the newest indie flick at Sundance, our next model will be ready for anything as she's rocking the hot pink parka with the faux fur collar.

That's right. She's down right smashing in this falls newest line. Notice the intricate details in the embroidery of the snowflake. Notice the cutting edge Beaddazzle work! And that faux Fur! So luxurious to the touch. And what a perfect match to her own silky curls.
Just beautiful.

Work girl! Work it!

Can't post this fast enough!

Okay, I could not get this posted fast enough.
I received a call from Logan's teacher last night at 9:30, saying I HAD to read the email she just sent me. It seems they were working on making certain shapes with play dough. My son's recent masterpiece was truly incredible!
I think this one is going to go down in the history books.
So, without further ado . . .

Clearly the best 3D cone ever made.

Why? What'd YOU think it was?

Absolutely NOTHING to report!

So, basically, nothing has been going on since the beginning of the year. But here are a few pictures to tide everyone over until something exciting happens.

Watching fireworks on New Years.

This was about as exciting as it got. I think we were all in bed by 11.

A possible new daycare option?
Nope, just something to keep Dylan busy while we all ate pie.

A few photos before Grammy Dee headed home.

Chloe arriving home after a slumber party.
I don't even wanna know . . .
A cake I made for an 18th Birthday.

A visit with Sophie in Dallas.
As you can see, no one was in the mood for pictures.

And finally, another lazy evening on a Tuesday night.

See, what'd I tell ya.
Absolutely nothin'.

Dinner conversation at the Steindorfs

Me: Tonight I'm going to go check out that gym I was telling you about.
Chloe: Mommy, you don't need to loose weight. You're beautiful the way you are.
Me: Thanks!
Chloe: Just don't wear turtlenecks anymore... You don't look good in turtlenecks.

That's my girl. Just tellin' it like it is.

Anyone need any turtlenecks?

Happy Birthday Trent!

Today Trenton is 22.
Which is crazy because I swear I just took this picture yesterday.
He's pretty awesome, this boy.
But you guys already know that, right.

Happy birthday Trent.
