A quick catch-up

In January my parents and I headed to Ames, IA to celebrate my grandmothers 100th birthday.
I feel so lucky to have this amazing person in my life.  I'm even more thankful that my children have been blessed enough to have her in their lives as well.

And last week, Logan performed in his 2nd grade play.
Every time I see one of these I cry.  They are just so darned cute.
Here's a little snip it!

And winner of Best Dressed was....

Update to the dance:
Our beautiful girl won the best dressed at the dance!
She won a gift card to the local movie theater.
Well of course she did, just look at her!

Rhinestones and Wranglers Dance

Last night, Chloe attended her second Jr. high dance...the theme?  Rhinestones and Wranglers

She and Daisy got all gussied up.  She was excited to wear all her bling.
But even more excited because her favorite fellow was going as well.
Yep, our little girl had her first dance with a boy.
We're currently looking into an all girls school...

Logan turns 8

So I know I'm really behind with our blog.  And I doubt that is going to change any time soon.  But I couldn't forget my little man.

Here's a shout out to my big boy, who turned 8 on the 7th.

We kept it low key this year with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese with a couple of his best buds.

He didn't even want a cake.  This year he opted for a cookie cake.
Which, I must say, was beyond yummy.

Isn't he just the cutest 8 year old you've ever seen!
Happy Birthday Logan.
I love you even when you're pouting!

Family bonding....circa 2012

Quality family time with the Steindorfs.

WOO HOO! And we're back up!

No I haven't forgotten about the blog.  Blogspot wasn't letting me post any pictures, saying I was over my limit.  That was not the case and it looks like everything has been resolved.

Yay!
I'll do by best to get everyone updated on all the 'going's on' in the Steindorf household in the next few days!

Chloe's first dance!

Chloe attended her first Jr. high dance.
Apparently, I was the only nervous one.

She and Daisy had a great time, dancing the night away.
Of course, they didn't dance with any boys... but that was perfectly fine with them
(and me too!)  She told me only a few couples were actually dancing and the teachers literally went around with a ruler to make sure they weren't too close.

It's crazy scary how fast she's growing up.

wasn't it just yesterday...

But what a beautiful young woman she's becoming.

Halloween 2012

So this year, Chloe's costume was a result of wanting to get her money's worth from her purchase at Disneyland.
The Mad Hatter's hat.
Grandpa got to watch all the preparations.
So we decided to make our own costume.
According to Chloe...Nailed it!

As for Logan's, long story short...

Mommy was going to attempt an Anikin costume, then found it cheap on line.  Thought, "what the hell was I thinking" and ordered it.  UPS lost it.  Ran to Walmart Tuesday night.  Found Ben 10 (his FAVORITE).  All is well.

Daisy decided to be Alice, so they were a perfect team.

Chloe wanted to keep her hair like this for school the next day.
But I wasn't keen on washing orange out of her pillows, so I had to nix that idea.

A busy few weeks

It was Red Ribbon Week last week.
The girls celebrated by "Not mixing with Drugs" with wearing nothing that matched.

And Logan with wild hair day.

Then he ended the week with his 2nd grade scarecrow parade.
They scare drugs away I guess...

Chloe also is busy practicing her flute.
She'll be playing with the band at the big high school game this weekend.

Logan and I went to see her play at one of her pep rallies.

(if you're wondering, it was PJ day for Logan at school and we didn't have time to change)
Daisy cheers at the pep rallies too.

And Logan is back to playing soccer.  Last week he was the Captain, leading his team to victory!
