Another cake...

A friend needed a cake for her friend's birthday and I'd been wanting to try this design.
It was supposed to be a cupcake, but turned out more like a bushel of roses.
But that worked just as well!

One step closer to black

Last week, Chloe and Logan earned their first color belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Breaking their boards
They had to learn a routine of forms, specific kicks, how to count to 10 in Korean, the Tenets of Tae Kwon Do and break a board.
Now I'm saying their are classified as lethal weapons...yet,
but I sure wouldn't want to meet these two in a dark alley.

Congrats on earning your yellow belts.
Only about 12 more levels until black.

It's Rodeo Time!

Last week kicked off Rodeo days for those of us living in this great state of Texas!  All the kids were supposed to dress up in their western gear.
This is all we could come up with.
WHAT !?!
We're Californians for gosh sakes!

Rodeo Days is really a way to kick off the Houston Rodeo.
Chloe and I scored some tickets to the concert Big Time Rush at the Rodeo, so we invited Paula and Melanie along to join in the fun.

Chloe LOVED it.  I wasn't too sure.  First, Paula and I noticed that many of the songs sounded a lot NKOTB.   Second, the 'band' sang exactly 5 songs.  That's it.  5.   I think that either it was past their bed time or that's all the songs they knew.   Either way, we were home and in our jammies before 8pm, and that's ALWAYS a good thing.

A Cake for A.J.

Logan's best friend AJ turned 7.
The theme was Avengers.
I'm not doing cakes anymore, but I figured since Logan was going to the party, I'd better step up to the plate.
And it never hurts that I get to EAT some of it too!!

Hockey anyone?

Craig and I are attempting to find a hobby we can enjoy together.  His suggestion?  Let's play in the co-ed hockey league!   I must really love him, because I agreed.

While I managed to stay on my feet most of the time and did get the puck once in a while,
I found that hockey...well...is 100% not my thing.

We are now playing tennis.  I'm liking that SO much better.

Snow?

Okay, so I'm finally updating this blog.
Our computer has some sort of virus or something.... it freaks out and makes it really hard to upload photos.  BUT, being the trooper that I am, I got through it.

A few weeks back, it actually started to snow.   It only lasted for about 3 mins.  But it was long enough for Chloe to bundle up and 'play' in the snow.   Since there really wasn't any snow to photograph, here are a couple shots of Chloe jumping on the trampoline.

Nothing to report!

Honestly, I have not been slacking on my blogging duties.  There just has been nothing to report.  I haven't taken a single picture in the past few weeks.   So here's a little funny to tide you over until something exciting happens!

Welcome to my world.

The Birthday boy

So, despite all my arguments, Logan decided he wanted to have his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.

And if you are thinking, "Boy that cake sure looks familiar", You are right.
This is Logan's 3rd Ben 10 party.
Everyone had lots of fun,
And even I have to admit it was a great party.
Add in that I didn't have to clean my house, I'm thinking CEC was a fabulous idea!

We celebrated on his actual birthday with a low key dinner of his choosing.  Chic-fil-a, with Grandpa.
And no cake, just ice cream.
And a few silly tongue tricks!

Craig was anti tongue twisting this evening, this is all I got from him!
Just then, disaster struck!

Logan became the recipient of a vicious attack from his ice cream cone....

But, as you can see, it didn't slow his tongue tricks down a bit.
Such a trooper he is.
And, of course, he got even more Ben 10 gifts.
He's even got one coming all the way from England.
And thus ends another Ben 10 birthday!
3 in a row.  No one can ever say my son can't commit!

Don't mess with the Steindorf kids!

Logan and Chloe have both started Tae Kwon Do.
Now, I know it's early, but I think it's safe to say,
you're not gonna want to go messing with these two!
More to come about that.

7 things I love about Logan

1. He doesn't like french fries.
(I know, RIGHT?!?!)

2.  He loves his sister and even when he doesn't like her he still wants her near him.

4. He's got his daddy's charm, but doesn't even know it, which makes it all the more deadly.

5.  He doesn't let an hour go by without telling me he loves me.
(even if he spends that hour in a time out!)

6.  He will always find something to smile about.  Even when he's lost his pants.

(or his shirt)
 7.  And he will never hesitate to tell you how awesome he is!
And you know what?
He is SO right.

Happy 7th Birthday Logan.
