Goodbye Colorado

It was an incredible trip, but we were definitely eager to get  home to see Daddy.

ummm, can I just say, Direct TV on the flight?  Best money ever spent!!

Mom and Dad, thanks for everything!!  And to Sandy, for making it happen.
We made memories that we will cherish for a lifetime!

There were so many wonderful things about our trip to Colorado, I'm not sure where to start . . .

But mainly, it was all about family ... well that and the mountains.

A drive through the Rocky Mountain National Park was beautiful.

This is after the 1007th photo taken.  As you can see, the kids had just about had it with me.

But for the most part, they were real sports about the whole picture thing!

Grandma turned 99 this year and she's still going strong.
Here she is with Chloe and Logan, along with her great, great grandson Connor.

Colorado Adventures

There were so many cool things you could do at the park...
we made an effort to do everything we could!

Chloe was excited to see they had archery.
Here she is, gearing up.

She was just inches away from a bullseye on her first shot.

A natural, she is!

Logan was feeling a bit left out and took on his signature pose.
We call it, The Sulk.
A natural, he is.
To keep him busy, I gave him the camera for a bit.
Here's a little sampling of his photos...
A study in nature, if you will...

There was also this really cool, big rock that we had to climb.
I  have a photo of me in this exact pose, sitting on the same rock, wearing a red and white striped outfit, when I was 10.    I'll have to find it....MOM?

We headed over the the Rocky Mountain National Forest for a little sightseeing
and we were lucky enough to see this big guy.

And we drove by the Stanley Hotel
(for all you Shining fans)

And we took the tram to the top of the mountain to feed some very chunky chipmunks.

The views were incredible.

Now, I know it looks like they are all flipping me the bird, but if you look closely, you'll see they're just showing off their peanuts

We, of course, took plenty of time for some much needed treats.

Then the play time resumed.

Here's Chloe demonstrating her LUCY stance during an intense game of miniature golf
(I love Lucy fans should get this)

And finally, since there just wasn't enough to do at the YMCA, we had a little fun at the local amusement park.

Nap time really should have been factored into our schedule.
I was worn out!!
