LABEDA CUP-LAS VEGAS

In October, we headed out west for the LABEDA Hockey tournament in Las Vegas.   We also took a couple of days say hello to our friends and family in So Cal.

Trent and Farrell's helped celebrate my achievement of growing one year older before heading off to Vegas.
Yay me!

While Craig was warming up for a hockey game, Kathy, Lisa and I took in the decorations at the Bellagio.
Very cool!

The very handsome Steindorf men.
Oh yea, and there was a hockey game or two.

More manly shots of those handsome Steindorfs.

Woo Hoo!  Craig's 50 and over team won the Championship!

They celebrated at the Hauffsbraugh Haus with beer and the Chicken Dance.
Not a good combination, trust me!

Then back to the O.C. for more handsome Steindorf men.
And a quick run to Laguna to dip our toes in the Pacific.

And a quick stop at the Animal Shelter to see who was recuperating.
These little guys are the result of the effects of global warming.  Basically the water is too warm near the coastline, so sea lion parents must travel further out into the ocean to find food for their pups.   Many of the pups are so under weight and weak, they become stranded or lost.   The sea mammal center takes them in, fattens them up and releases them back into the ocean.

It's Soccer Time!

Logan's playing soccer again.
He's back with the same team of kids with his same coach.
We've been together 3 seasons now and it's been great.

Logan has been on fire, scoring goals in every game.
You may recall last season they were The Gummy Bears.
Well time they went in the complete opposite direction.
Thanks to my son's suggestion, this season they are....
The Flesh Rippers.

Halloween 2013

Our Halloween this year included a murderous ghost and a zombie prom queen.

Later we were joined by a softball player and her brother, the baseball star (aka Logan's friend Kiefer)
And then met up with a real nerd.

All in all, a good night.
The kids were able to take in enough sweets to keep them on a sugar high until May of next year.
