Hide and Seek

Shelby's version...
Hide and...well, hide.

Back To School

So thanks to Pinterest, I really felt I had a strong handle on how to document the back to school event.

Framed photo from last year?  Check!
Chalk board with crafty writing? Check!
Dated for historical accuracy?  Damn!
See if you can spot my signature blunder....

After ensuring I had the correct date, we headed off to Kaufman.

We are excited that Logan's teacher is Mrs. Martin, since Chloe also had her for 2nd grade.
I'm thinking she'll be surprised at just how different these two children are!

Then quickly back home to meet up with Daisy to walk to the bus stop!
 Heading off to Jr. High!
How did that happen?

Here's to a great year!!

Chloe's big day!

Birthday's around here are becoming a little more low key.
But that doesn't mean they are any less fun!
Chloe chose to take a couple of her friends and go have pedicures.

After lunch, we went home to celebrate with her Hunger Games cake.
Since there was NO WAY I was even going to attempt the Mockingjay design, I cheated
and just printed out a picture.  That combined with some black fondant, some flames... and viola, The Hunger Games cake.

Here she is reading a card from Grandma Sue.
This is a big deal since it actually arrived a day BEFORE her birthday.
Those who know us, know the significance of this.

Chloe loved everything she received from her friends!

And to add to her haul, she picked out these stylin' Converse boots  from G&G in Oregon,

lots of great Hunger Games stuff from Great Grandma

And a real bow and arrow from Grammy Dee!

Which she generously let Logan shoot once or twice.

And she also got more cash than a 12 year old should have...so I promptly confiscated it...
JUST KIDDING!
(Okay, well, I might have thought about it!)
Thank you  to everyone for thinking of her on her special day!!
One more year until she's a full fledged teenager.   YIKES!
